FREE Family Fun: Target Free 2nd Tuesday @ Imagine It! Children Museum (May 2012)

Don’t forget tomorrow is Target Free Second Tuesday Day at Imagine It! Children Museum.

Through a sponsorship by Target, admission is free for all visitors who come during these special hours. The free tickets will be available at the Museum starting at 1 p.m. during each Target Free Second Tuesday, and the Museum will close at 7 p.m.  The free tickets are issued on a first come first served basis as Museum capacity permits. Once the Museum reaches capacity, tickets are only issued as capacity in the Museum becomes available. Reservations are not accepted.

Family Tips:

  • Get there early. The tickets are based on museum capacity
  • Bring plenty of snacks and toys. The wait can be quite a while.
  • Bundle up for the cold weather. You have to wait in line outside the museum.
  • If you go with another adult, leave one in line and take the kids to the playground so they won’t get bored. The Centennial Olympic Park playground is just across the street.

FREE Family Fun: Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics Terrarium – Apr 2012

This fun free kid clinic is perfect for a bonding time for daddy (or mommy) and little ones. Lowe’s has bi-weekly Build and Grow Clinic for kids. It’s a great free family-friendly thing to do with your kids on Saturday morning. The store provides all the material, tools and event cute little apron for all the kids. With parents help, kids will enjoy learning a little bit of building and feel so proud of their product.

This weekend kids will be building Terrarium. Spring is here and it’s time to start gardening! Your child will love learning about plants and watching them grow with this great Terrarium kit!

Another cool thing about this program is that after each project kids will be rewarded with certificate and patch. Each patch is uniquely designed for that week project. It’s a great way to get kids excited. Not that building their own stuff isn’t excited enough.

Earth Day Celebration @ Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech’s annual Earth Day Celebration is one of the most highly anticipated campus events during spring semester. This is one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the southeast.

Earth Day Festival @ East Atlanta Village

Free Family Fun: Kids Workshop at Home Depot, April 2012

FREE Kids Workshop program from Home Depot is a great way to spend Saturday morning with kids. Each month there will be different project for kids to do. It’s fairly easy project that kids as young as 4 years old will be able to enjoy with the help of a parent. Everything is pre-cut and pre-drilled. So most of the activities will evolve around hammering nail or glue the wood.

For other parents who have experience with American Girl store, you will know how great this doll store concept is and how expensive this place can be.
