Family Fun – Children Playhouse and Theatre Shows this week
Living in the Atlanta metro area allows us to be able to enjoy a good range of children shows throughout the year. We have a pretty decent amount of children theatre and playhouse that provide great fun for kids.
Check out what is currently playing this week if you are looking for some indoor entertainment with your kids.
1. The Library Dragon @ Aurora Theatre Children’s Playhouse
As described on GoCityKids website: An Aurora Learning Library program brings to the stage the Carmen Agra Deedy story about a librarian with a fiery passion for keeping books away from the children who love them.

2. The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe 2010 @ Towne Lake Arts Center
Based on the ever so popular children books from C.S Lewis, follow Peter, Susan, Edmond and Lucy through the wardrobe and into Narnia in this musical adaptation of the C.S Lewis novel.
Place: Towne Lake Art Center, 6576 Commerce Parkway, Woodstock, GA

3. Alice in Wonderland @ Blackwell Playhouse
Follow Alice down the rabbit hole for her amazing adventures in Wonderland. The Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and the Cheshire Cat help tell the tale. Free face painting takes place 30 minutes prior to each show.

4. Uncle Grampa’s Hoo-Dilly Storytime @ Dad’s Garage
Larry Lederhosen, Phineas J. Monkey, Lil’ Tamo, Foolio, and even Fritz the Butler can’t wait for the brand new adventures to start. Each week, the cast will choose a brand new, never–been–told story to tell. The kids help fuel the story by choosing characters, giving suggestions, and even telling jokes along the way. This show is recommended for children age 2-8 and adults alike.

5. Rainforest Adventures @ Center for Puppetry
Experience a day in the life of more than 30 exotic plants and animals in the amazing Amazon rainforest. An anaconda slithers through the shrubs, bats beat their wings in a glorious evening ballet, and howler monkeys swing to the beat of Brazilian drums against the backdrop of a lush paradise. Escape to the tropics in this entertaining and educational peek at this vital ecosystem!
