It will be a busy weekend here. Along with Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year celebration, we also have a long list of family-friendly shows for you to pick from. It’s gonna be a fun weekend!

1. Big Apple Circus: Bello is Back @ Stone Mountain Park

3. Super Saturdays: Green Eggs & Hamadeus @ Murray Arts Center

Introduce your child to the exciting world of the arts with incredible artists featured in highly interactive, visually stimulating and refreshingly innovative live performances presented in partnership with Miss LaLa’s Community Arts Centre. The Cat in the Hat will still be here! Story time, plus wind; string instruments keep the kids from getting into predicaments! Dancing, singing, & artworks, too…we can’t wait to have fun with you!

4. Free to be You & Me @ Synchronicity Performance Group

A groovy musical that lets children know, in the words of Marlo Thomas, “that each of their Happily Ever Afters can and will be different. And exciting. And their own.” Fast, fun and fabulous for kids 4+ and the moms and dads who learned early to run to where the children are free.

5. Seussical Jr. @ Off Broadway Dance Theatre

The Off Broadway Kids Musical Theatre Troupe presents the children’s production of beloved world of Dr. Seuss featuring the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz and many of Seuss’ other beloved characters.

6. Alice in Wonderland @ Blackwell Playhouse

Follow Alice down the rabbit hole for her amazing adventures in Wonderland. The Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and the Cheshire Cat help tell the tale. Free face painting takes place 30 minutes prior to each show.

7. Uncle Grampa’s Hoo-Dilly Storytime @ Dad’s Garage

Larry Lederhosen, Phineas J. Monkey, Lil’ Tamo, Foolio, and even Fritz the Butler can’t wait for the brand new adventures to start. Each week, the cast will choose a brand new, never–been–told story to tell. The kids help fuel the story by choosing characters, giving suggestions, and even telling jokes along the way. This show is recommended for children age 2-8 and adults alike.

8. Rainforest Adventures @ Center for Puppetry

Experience a day in the life of more than 30 exotic plants and animals in the amazing Amazon rainforests. An anaconda slithers through the shrubs, bats beat their wings in a glorious evening ballet, and howler monkeys swing to the beat of Brazilian drums against the backdrop of a lush paradise. Escape to the tropics in this entertaining and educational peek at this vital ecosystem!
